Faria Conference Qatar

I am Francisco Ruiz, ICT Coordinator at SEK International School Qatar. My school belongs to a big organization SEK Education Group, with 8 more schools and one university in different countries (Spain, Ireland, France and Qatar).

I am a passionate educator who believes in Digital Transformation in Education. I am a Microsoft Innovator Educator Expert. I was working in an SEK School in Spain and I was offered to come to Qatar to start this project from scratch. It was a great challenge and a great opportunity to put in practice my believes regarding how technology should be integrated into the curriculum and that is what I am doing in our school. I am responsible of the new projects and the integration of technology in our school at all levels. I am also in charge of technology professional development of staff in the school, teaching and not teaching staff.

Last April 2017, our school was recognized as a Microsoft School. A year later on March 2018 we were recognized as a Microsoft Showcase School and this year, 2018 we renewed it for this current academic year. We are using Office 365 and we are working with Microsoft tools for education.
